  • Machine parts (probes, gel warmers, controls), knob functions
  • Bio-effects, ALARA principle, gel allergies, electrical safety
  • Daily/weekly machine checks & cleaning protocols
  • 100% lab: Probe assembly/disassembly + safety drills on phantoms

USG Machine Operation Basics (GE Voluson & Philips HD)

  • Power-on, knob adjustments (gain, depth, frequency), freeze/save functions
  • Image capture, measurements (distance, area), basic annotations
  • Portable vs. fixed machine handling (battery checks, transport)
  • 100% hands-on: Each student operates machine for 200+ scans on gel phantoms (abdomen, pelvic views)

Routine USG Scans: Abdominal & OB/GYN Assistance

  • Abdominal scans (liver, kidney, gallbladder, appendix) – probe placement, views
  • OB/GYN basics (follicle tracking, early pregnancy, IUD placement check)
  • Doppler intro (color flow for vessels, uterus)
  • Report generation, CD burning, PACS upload
  • Daily 6–8 hours: 300+ simulated scans + gel phantom practice

Advanced Assistance: Vascular, MSK & Quality Control

  • Vascular (carotid, DVT basics), MSK (joints, soft tissue) probe techniques
  • Artefact recognition, repeat scan reasons, image optimization
  • Sterilization of probes (high/low level), inventory management
  • Patient data entry, privacy (HIPAA-like rules)
  • Practical: 150+ advanced simulations + quality audits on sample images

Live Diagnostic Center/Hospital USG Internship (Full-Time Attachment) + Placement

  • This is the 6th and FINAL module – the ultimate job-securer
  • 100% Practical – 5 weeks full-time in USG/radiology department of tied-up centers (e.g., Metropolis, local hospitals with 100+ daily scans)
  • Each student assists in minimum 250–300 real USG procedures: Patient prep, probe positioning, machine setup/operation under radiologist supervision, image capture, report dispatch
  • Handles live cases (abdominal, OB/GYN, portable bedside scans), morning/evening shifts, emergency walk-ins
  • Learns workflow: Queue management, stock checks, doctor coordination Last 7–10 days:
  • Resume building for assistant roles
  • Mock interviews (radiology dept. style: scan troubleshooting, patient scenarios)
